Volunteers, Staff & Trustees Honoured at Charity’s AGM

This year, as part of Citizen’s Advice Peterborough’s Annual General Meeting, we recognised the hard work and dedication of our staff, volunteers and trustees. Without them, our charity just wouldn’t be able to provide the advice people need for the problems they face, or improve policies and practices affecting people’s lives across the city.

Citizens Advice Peterborough offers information services and free, confidential, impartial, independent advice. We’re not just here in times of crisis, as our Research and Campaigns’ Team uses client’s stories anonymously to campaign for policy changes to benefit the population as a whole.

As a people centred charity, our staff, volunteers and trustees are at the heart of everything we do. We strive to recognise those individuals who’ve really gone that extra mile for us. Each of the people listed below received a special thank you from James Roberts, our CEO.

Lynne steps down as Chair after 5 years in the role, yet remains a Trustee. Chris and Derek are retiring from the Board of Trustees after countless years of dedicated service.

Charles is our longest standing volunteer adviser of 13 years, has adapted to countless changes of our service, and who continues to work hard for our clients. Margaret, our volunteer rep, ensures all volunteers are looked out for and get the support they need whilst volunteering with us. Clair is a media and communications volunteer, who has helped extend our publicity reach with a series of articles in local publications over the past 12 months.

Sarah is a mental health welfare adviser, who completes in-depth casework to achieve the best results for clients with mental health conditions. Last, but by no means least, Eloise is our volunteer and training supervisor, working hard to recruit and support volunteers, train the whole team as well as this year having supported the design and roll out of our exciting new website.
