Basic NHS standards are not being met across the city, according to a new report by our dedicated Research and Campaigns Team. Chronic underinvestment and workforce shortages, combined with a widening of health inequalities generally, are the key factors in this decline in adequate health care access for local people.

Our ‘Raise the Bar for Peterborough’ sponsored walk took place on Friday, 21st March 2025. A joint venture between the Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) Peterborough and Citizens Advice Peterborough (CAP); the 10km walk raises money towards helping vulnerable local people to get the advice they so badly need.

This year, as part of Citizen’s Advice Peterborough’s Annual General Meeting, we recognised the hard work and dedication of our staff, volunteers and trustees. Without them, our charity just wouldn’t be able to provide the advice people need for the problems they face, or improve policies and practices affecting people’s lives across the city.

Volunteers from Citizens Advice Peterborough celebrated the organisation’s recent 85th birthday with tea and cake in the city centre. Set up in early September 1939, just after the start of the Second World War, dedicated volunteers have been offering vital advice and information ever since.
